The Order of Malta Clinic of Northern California will host its annual gala, A Knight for Champions: 10th Annual Silver Chalice Awards Dinner, on October 2, 2018 at the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco. This year’s event will commemorate the Clinic’s 10th anniversary and raise funds for operations and expanded service.
The event will honor Quest Diagnostics Chairman, President and CEO Stephen Rusckowski and Deborah O’Hara Rusckowski, DM with the distinguished Silver Chalice awards, presented by the Archbishop of San Francisco, Salvatore Cordileone. Other special guests include Archbishop of Detroit Allen H. Vigneron and Oakland Bishop Michael C. Barber, SJ. The event will also include silent and live auctions.
Founded in 2008, the Order of Malta Clinic of Northern California is a nonprofit medical clinic located in Oakland, California. Led by the Order of Malta, the Clinic provides free on-site preventative health care services and treatment to uninsured and low-income patients. The Clinic has a volunteer staff comprised of more than 50 volunteer physicians and nurses, and has accommodated over 30,000 patient visits.
