Experience movement from the inside out.
The Chinese development of martial arts and energetics (like Qigong) is a 5000 year process of observing and then incorporating the patterns of animals, movement, health, illness, war, strategy, medicine…the culture and practice of these movement arts are holistic and engaging.
Qigong is a collaboration of Body, Intent and Breath. It has been practiced for centuries to build and maintain health and well-being.
Tai Chi Chuan is often called “Moving Meditation†but that is only one small part of it. Structured as a martial art, it joins together the internal arts of Qigong with smooth and strengthening movement. The benefits of Tai Chi are too numerous to list, but even a taste of Tai Chi will give you an idea of its many attributes.
Bagua Zhang, while not as familiar as Tai Chi, is one of the great martial arts to come out of China. Based on the ideas and principles of ‘change’ (from the I Ching) combined with round, circling movement, it is a traditional and comprehensive style for anyone looking to improve and preserve health, and develop a creative approach to martial movement.
Now, an opportunity to try them for yourself.
Join us on Friday, May 9, from 6:30 – 8:30, for a free seminar on these three treasures: Qigong (6:30), Tai Chi Chuan (7:10) and Bagua Zhang (7:50)…Try one, try all! Bring a friend, bring 2 or 3.
