A Fine Line Film Screening, Wine Reception, Dinner, and Panel Q&A

SEE EVENT DETAILS
WHAT: Enjoy the screening of the award-winning documentary, A Fine Line, which chronicles the challenges faced by female chefs in the male-dominated culinary industry. The timely documentary explores why less than 7% of head chefs and restaurant owners are women, while addressing important issues about equality in the culinary field, and beyond.

Join Filmmaker Joanna James, Slow Food San Francisco, and host Airbnb for an evening of food, film, and friends celebrating female heroes in the food and wine industries. This special advanced screening is part of an 11-state Screening Tribute Tour of A Fine Line. The event will recognize the tremendous work of Tanya Holland, award-winning chef, author, and Oakland restaurateur of Brown Sugar Kitchen; Winemaker Kim Nicholls of Markham Vineyards; and winemaker Heidi Bridenhagen of MacRostie Winery and Vineyards.

The evening will begin with dinner, wine, and beer, and will conclude in a panel Q&A after the film screening. The evening will spotlight women restaurateurs, chefs, winemakers, farmers and food activists while engaging in inspiring conversations about diversity, women leadership, and making a meaningful impact.
