Hosted by Sydney Vogl

From SJSU

Anne Cheilek is a writer, editor, and musician living in Silicon Valley. Her work is forthcoming or has appeared in RHINO Poetry, Catamaran, Gone Lawn, DMQ Review, and elsewhere. She has served as poetry editor for Reed Magazine and is the recipient of the 2020 Anne Lillis Award and the 2019 Phelan Award for Free Verse.

Seher Fatema Vora (she/her) is a Pakistani American editor and writer. She has worked as an editor for academic and news publications, and recently shifted her focus to fiction. She is a second-year MFA student in Fiction and Screenwriting at San José State University. Seher is currently the Lead Fiction Editor at Reed Magazine. Her work can be found in the Baltimore Review.

From St. Mary's

While Jenyth Jo Gearhart-Utchen (she/her) is an old soul, she is an emerging writer and is looking forward to her third year at St. Mary's College of California, where she's revising a memoir. Jenyth's poetry and prose meditates on the natural world, seasons the monotonies of intellectual isolation, considers history, and notices everything absurdly mundane. Besides poems commissioned for the City of San Ramon, she has published poems in international social justice journals, Tempering the Rune, Wingless Dreamer, and others. Formerly a teacher in the California public school system, she has been Poet Laureate of San Ramon since 2018.

Dani Herrera was born and raised in the simmering Central Valley and is currently shivering in Oakland, CA. She is a second year fiction candidate at Saint Mary's College of California. Dani writes magical realism, inspired by her Mexican culture and folklore. She is currently working on a collection of short stories.

From USF

Natalie Longwell is a fiction writer, USF Class of 2022. She was a finalist for the Sophie Kerr Prize, the largest undergraduate literary prize in the nation, and is currently teaching a fiction workshop with Green Apple Books.

Neal Tayco is a second-year poetry MFA in Writing student from the University of San Francisco. He is currently based in the bay area.
