Explore Jamaica’s spicy culinary tradition–Jamaican Jerk and join us for a full day of live music and hot Jerk at Drake’s Dealership. Bay Area chefs will be cooking up their own Jamaican jerk inspired recipes. Jerk Shacks feature jerk goat, jerk chicken, jerk duck, as well as other super, tasty Caribbean cuisine.
Hang at The Beer Shack with carefully crafted, full flavor specialty beers made from local and regional breweries featuring Old-Kan, Drake’s Brewing, Line 51, North Coast Brewing, and more breweries announced daily.
Head over to at The Rum Shack for a cocktail infused with hibiscus and passion fruit and let the sounds of calypso rhythms wash over you.
Enjoy Caribbean music with live performances by Sharon B, a steel drum musician from Trinidad and Tobago, and the Synergy Band.
Bring your kids to the Kid Zone where there will be face painting, bouncy house, and street soccer!
Early Bird ticket for unlimited jerk tasting option is available online for $55. Kids under 12 get in free.
All proceeds from this family-friendly event will benefit My Yute Soccer, an Oakland-based foundation that provides free soccer camps and teen mentorship programs.
About My Yute Soccer
My Yute Soccer’s free camps in Oakland, provided at no cost to parents or participants, offer camps provided throughout the year as well as a teen mentor program. Maintaining an 8:1 camper to coach ratio, a diverse group of Bay Area coaches and Adult League soccer players volunteer to provide skills training to kids. The money raised at the Jamaican Jerk Cook-Off Experience will allow My Yute Soccer to continue its commitment to educating youth, promoting awareness of socio-cultural differences, and providing greater access to community resources.
