97th Annual 5 Mile Statuto Race and 2 Mile Fun Walk, Sunday June 4, 2017, 9:00AM

The Statuto is America's 4th oldest foot race. A fast out and back, flat 5-mile course starts at 9am at the San Francisco Italian Athletic Club (SFIAC), 1630 Stockton St. SF, CA at Washington Square Park. The course runs North from SFIAC Club Headquarters on Stockton St. to North Point to Herb Caen Way along the waterfront to Bryant St and back. There is also a 2-mile out and back fun walk along the same course to the 1/2 way turnaround point at Pier 23 1/2.
Registration includes a commemorative 97th annual event T-shirt to all entrants. For the 5 mile race, trophies will be awarded to the first overall male and female runners, and the first SFIAC dues paying club member. Medals are awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place men and women starting at age 18 and under, 19 to 29 and every 10 year age category up to 80+. The first 200 people to complete the run or walk will receive a free deli salami.
Raffle prizes for all entrants in both the 5-mile run and 2- mile fun walk will be held in the club banquet hall after the awards ceremony. Must be present to win.
Register online by 12pm, May 23.  Registration is $30 for the 5-mile run and $25 for the 2-mile fun walk.
