The 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is an annual video contest in which kid filmmakers create short movies that tell the entire stories of Newbery award-winning books in about 90 seconds.
For seven years we've screened the best kid-made movies annually in New York, Chicago, Boston, and many other cities—including right here in San Francisco!
Make your FREE reservation for the SAN FRANCISCO screening of this year's 90-Second Newbery! The screening is hosted by children's authors James Kennedy (The Order of Odd-Fish) and Marcus Ewert (Mummy Cat, 10,000 Dresses).
We'll be showing movies made by kids in the Bay Area and some of the best from around the country.
This year, the San Francisco 90-Second Newbery will screen on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 2-3:30 pm at the main branch of the San Francisco Public Library.
Tickets are free! However, we recommend reserving your seat in advance to ensure admittance. Although a reservation is recommended, you don't have to bring a printed ticket.
