Aug 25-26, 4PM to 3PM overnight
We realize that the word "Confirmation" means different things to different people. For Saratoga Federated Church it means gathering our 8th graders together before they enter High School, to talk to them about their faith and what they believe it means to follow Christ as their Lord and Savior. We know when students enter high school, life can be overly busy, and they will face tests by peers and others in regards to their faith. Therefore, our goal is to take time now to train and challenge our teens to be able to articulate to others what they truly believe.
Our Confirmation Program relies on a series of retreats beginning in August. Students will be invited to engage in conversations about faith, the Biblical narrative, spiritual disciplines, and any doubts. Our desire is that we build a community around the students who provide a safe place for them to explore their faith.
Current High School Juniors and Seniors serve as Confirmation Mentors, guiding our students through the course, and building relationships that continue over into our High School program. Our hope is that this helps with the transition from Middle to High School.
We are asking that parents attend Parent Confirmation Classes on August 25, September 29th, November 17th, and March 2nd. You will be meeting with Pastor Tim Galleher from 6-7:30P.
