The evening will include a discussion and presentation by 5 Gyres Ambassadors, Shannon Waters, who participated in the 2012 North Pacific Gyre Expedition from Japan to Hawaii, and Maggie Ostdal, who participated in the 2013 North Atlantic Expedition from Bermuda to Rhode Island. Both continue to work towards raising awareness and generating change in San Francisco through their careers and environmental community. The presentation will start around 530PM.
We will also be discussing our next 5 Gyres Expedition to the North Atlantic Gyre in June 2014 traveling from Bermuda to Iceland. We are looking for crew and partners and would love to have you involved in some capacity.
Another perk of the evening is Sports Basement will be donating 10% of the sales from items bought by you all between 5PM and 7PM. Please spread the word! The more the merrier.
