The third annual Brazilian Jiu Jitsu All Star tournament returns to Santa Cruz June 28 – 29 for a weekend of martial arts competition open to all ages. The tournament, which is part of the national BJJ Tour, will feature divisions for children and adults of all belt levels. Saturday, June 28 will feature competition in traditional Jiu Jitsu gi uniform. Sunday, June 29 is reserved for no-gi competition.
The deadline to register for the 3rd All Star tournament is June 23. Early registration discounts apply:

The All Star tournament draws an international field of competitors as well as hundreds of athletes from Santa Cruz County and the Bay Area. The event is sanctioned by the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation and features individual and team competition. Winning matches are determined by submission, points, advantage or referee’s decision. The tournament in its entirety will be broadcast live on the web.
Spectators can watch ongoing competition from 9am to 6pm. Admission is $10, plus tax, for adults; $5, plus tax, for children ages 6 -17; and free for children age 5 and younger and seniors age 60 or older. Tickets can be purchased at the Kaiser Permanente Arena box office each day of the event. Proceeds from tickets sales benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County. To date, the All Star tournament and other Jiu Jitsu events founded by tournament promoter Claudio Franca have generated support for an equivalent of 115,000 meals for local families provided through Second Harvest Food Bank.
