The Nation’s First Professional League Based On FIBA 3x3 Basketball
3x3, which is “3-on-3” basketball like you’ve never seen before, was recently added as a new Olympic sport and will debut at the Tokyo Games in 2020. This relentlessly entertaining version of the game is brand new and different from the one you know from pickup games on the playground.
Half Court, but Full Throttle: With the 12-second shot clock, live ball after made baskets, required clearing after every change of possession, and minimal downtime, 3x3 is the fastest- paced team sport on the planet. First team to score 21 points wins so there is a sense of urgency on every play.
Basketball Under the Stars:
This is a purely outdoor event, so you’ll be entertained while enjoying a beautiful summer night in the Bay Area. The centerpiece of this unique 3-day hooptopia experience is a tournament featuring the strongest field of 3x3 teams that have ever competed on U.S. soil.
The tournament will feature the top 8 teams in the U.S., including ALL AMERICA (Dan Mavraides, Kareem Maddox, Damon Huffman, and Zahir Carrington), the #1 team in the nation the past two years. You will also get to see the #1 team in the world, NOVI SAD SERBIA, led by Dusan Bulut who is universally considered the greatest player in the 3x3 game. SINA CHINA, the champion from the biggest 3x3 tournament in Asia, will be flying in from Beijing to show us all what they’ve got.
Tickets are $25, and children under 12 get in free.

3BALL USA athletes are young and athletic professional players, just hitting their basketball prime. Many of the players on the American teams are coming off outstanding performances in the NBA G League, and the following college basketball programs are represented: Cal, Saint Mary’s, USF, Santa Clara, UC Davis, Michigan, Georgetown, Marquette, Missouri, Minnesota, Princeton, Lehigh, Weber State, and many more Division I schools.

We'll be bringing plenty of entertainment to the court too! On Saturday, streetball legend “The Professor” will take on challengers in 1-on-1 and hang out afterwards for a meet-and-greet with fans. On Sunday night, there will be a high-flying dunk contest featuring 3 of the best professional dunkers in the nation, plus winners of the 2017 NCAA and NBA G League dunk contests.
We will also be featuring DJ Melodie, MC Vince Chang, and the beloved University of Oregon Cheerleaders. To celebrate our visiting team from China, there will also be a traditional Chinese lion dance each night.
Additionally, there will be interactive selfie walls, an outdoor beer garden, food trucks, and special discount offers at retailers in Great Mall.
Live Streaming and TV: The entire event will be live streamed on Twitch, the leading digital platform in the U.S. for live video, and Sina Sports, the #1 digital sports platform in China. Additionally, NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports Chicago, and NBC Sports Washington, will broadcast a one-hour special including the Championship Game, which will close the event on Sunday.
