Graton Resort & Casino with the Chinatown Merchants Association is proud to present the 34th Annual Autumn Moon Festival. This highly anticipated event will take place on Saturday, September 14, and Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The festival will be held on Grant Avenue between California and Broadway, where attendees will be treated to a variety of exciting activities, including arts and crafts vendors, delicious food stalls, live music, local contemporary entertainment, mooncakes, lion dancing, and more.
This year's theme is Pandafest to celebrate the anticipation of the pandas coming from China in the future. Festival attendees can plan for some fun panda themed activities including a mini panda parade, complimentary panda gifts, and bamboo forests on Grant Avenue.
The festivities will commence on Saturday with a grand parade at 11 am, led by Mayor London Breed, beauty queens, cultural performers, and lion dancers. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, the Yau Kung Moon Association will perform a lion dance and martial arts performance, followed by other exciting diverse entertainment.
In addition to these activities, the organizers will hold a dumpling contest for all ages with some fabulous prizes. The festivities will culminate with the famous White Crane dragon on Sunday at 4:45 pm.
Festival attendees are encouraged to use public transportation. The Autumn Moon Festival is Bart-able.
