28th United Nations Association Film Festival | San Francisco Screenings

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The 28th UNAFF (United Nations Association Film Festival) will be held from October 16-26, 2025. This year's theme, MESSAGES FOR THE FUTURE, continues our devotion to human rights with an emphasis on our common destiny and issues fostering it, or standing in its way.

Join us for the 28th annual United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF) in San Francisco. Two different sessions are available.

SESSION 16
7:05 PM FREE WORDS: A POET FROM GAZA (Palestine/Turkey, 24 min)
a documentary detailing the life and experiences of Palestinian poet Mosab Abo Touha and his homeland, Palestine
7:40 PM POST ATLANTIC (US, 29 min)
explores the visionary world of legendary African-American painter and philosopher Dewey Crumpler as he connects the transatlantic slave trade to modern globalization, demonstrating what it means to be a working artist with a conscience in today's society.

SESSION 17
8:20 PM THE TRUE STORY OF TAMARA DE LEMPICKA AND THE ART OF SURVIVAL (US, 96 min)
traces the life and survival of the renowned painter through her powerful paintings - from her rise to international stardom in 1920s Paris, to her move to the United States fleeing fascism in 1940, to her revival in the current art market.

The festival continues through Oct. 26, 2025 with free panels, filmmaker Q&As, and more "Messages for the Future." See the schedule at https://www.unaff.org/2025/schedule.html.
