SEE EVENT DETAILS
The 21st TNDC Celebrity Pool Toss, San Francisco’s splashiest party, returns to the stylish courtyard of the Phoenix Hotel/Chambers Eat + Drink (601 Eddy Street) on October 8 at 6pm when Bay Area notables will voluntarily get tossed in the pool to raise money for those less fortunate. For the past 21 years, the annual TNDC Celebrity Pool Toss has raised nearly $4 million for Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation’s (TNDC) youth and family programs like the Tenderloin After-School Program that provides a safe, quiet and creative place for hundreds of low-income kids to go after school.

Celebrity emcees will introduce the illustrious tossees while friends, family and fans bid on the chance to throw them in the pool. This year’s TNDC Celebrity Pool Toss will be co-hosted by Jason Lewis, actor and Tori Ritchie, cookbook author and blogger at TuesdayRecipe.com and co-chaired by Laura King Pfaff and Jim Losi. Confirmed tossees this year include Charlie Casey, President, Pacific Foundation Services; James Higa, Executive Director, Philanthropic Ventures Foundation; Jim Losi, Founder, Rwanda Opportunity Fund; Alison Pincus, Co-founder, One Kings Lane; Lewis Sykes, San Francisco’s Oldest Party Planner; Will Thacher, President & CEO, Market-Turk Company; and Bill Witte, CEO, Related California.

ABOUT Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation:
TNDC mission it to provide affordable housing and services for low-income people in the Tenderloin and throughout San Francisco, to promote equitable access to opportunity and resources.

With 31 buildings in several San Francisco neighborhoods, TNDC provides homes and support services to more than 3,200 low-income seniors, families, people with disabilities, emancipated youth, and formerly homeless individuals. With a focus on community development, our work includes on-site social work services to help tenants stay housed, an after-school program for working families, and a community organizing program that encourages all community members to get involved and make a positive impact in their neighborhoods.

Since our founding in 1981, TNDC has been committed to serving the lowest-income individuals of our city by providing the most basic foundation for prosperity: a place to call home. Our work at TNDC isn’t just about getting a roof over someone’s head: it’s about helping people thrive. Social Workers help residents to stabilize their lives and connect to the resources they need. We also engage residents and neighbors in steering their neighborhood, which strengthens the entire community. By supporting our efforts, you support the notion that everyone deserves a safe, stable, affordable home to call their own. Opportunity only knocks if you have a door.
