21st Amendment co-founders Nico Freccia and Shaun O’Sullivan are inviting beer lovers across the Bay Area to dust off their flapper dresses and pork pie hats and join them on Saturday, December 5th for their annual 1930’s style Repeal Day Bash which celebrates the ratification of the 21st Amendment and the end of Prohibition.
Freccia and O’Sullivan will don zoot suits and kick off the event in true prohibition-era fashion by leading their annual “We Want Beer” march – accompanied by a marching band – around the San Leandro Brewery grounds at noon. Then, they’ll let the good times roll! Admission is free with food, including a 21A Grill with house-made beer sausages and beer can chicken, food truck court, and 21st Amendment brews available for purchase.
Entertainment throughout the day will include a seven piece Dixieland jazz band, family friendly kid zone, casino area benefitting charity with black jack, roulette and poker for great prizes and a cigar lounge.
Food and beer tickets are available in advance through Eventbrite. Limited parking will be available and a FREE shuttle from the San Leandro Bart Station to the Brewery will be available all day, so please take public transit. Revelers of all ages are welcome (sorry no pets).
