History was made during 2013’s San Francisco Beer Week when brewmasters David Szamborski (“Zambo”) of the Bay Area’s 21st Amendment Brewery and Jonathan Porter (or just “Porter”) from Los Angeles’ Smog City Brewery joined forces, instead of competing, during a California beer-rivalry event. The two friends chose to collaborate on one united brew that represented the best of Northern and Southern California, and aptly named the final product California Love.
This year, to mark the Golden State’s 164th milestone, Zambo and Porter have reteamed to bring California Love back on tap for a limited rerelease—brewing batches at both 21st Amendment and Smog City and celebrating with a day of food and music events at their respective breweries.
