2025 San Francisco Jewish Film Festival

SEE EVENT DETAILS
It's our pleasure to welcome you to the Jewish Film Institute's 45th anniversary San Francisco Jewish Film Festival! For nearly half a century, this Festival has grown and evolved thanks to you--our passionate, curious, and courageous community. Your love of cinema, culture, and conversation has made SFJFF the longest-running Jewish film festival in the world and a vital force for creative expression, dialogue, and discovery.

This year, we invite you to celebrate the global richness of Jewish identity through some of the most compelling independent films being made today. Guided by the Jewish value that learning is a lifelong pursuit, we believe there's something in this program that will shift your perspective--no matter your vantage point--whether in a small way or a profound one.

Throughout our 45-year history, our films have reflected and responded to an ever-changing world. Again and again, we've turned to artists to illuminate truth, make us laugh, share insight, and help us imagine a more just and hopeful future. At a time when bold storytelling, diversity, and freedom of expression are facing an existential threat, your presence here affirms the power of art to bring us together. Every ticket you buy, every film you watch, and every conversation you spark helps sustain a creative ecosystem where ideas and exchange can flourish.

Founded in 1980, the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival (SFJFF), presented by the Jewish Film Institute (JFI), is the largest and longest-running festival of its kind and a leader in the curation and presentation of new film and media exploring the complexity of Jewish life and identity around the world. SFJFF showcases more than sixty films each year for thousands of in-person and online audience members and industry professionals, curating a bold lineup of dramatic and documentary features, episodic programs, and experimental, and animated projects that reflect life through a Jewish lens. Since its founding in 1980, SFJFF has cultivated and championed emerging and established filmmakers throughout their careers, helping to launch new artistic voices on a national and international scale.
