4th of July Parade, sponsored by the Old Monterey Business Association and the Old Monterey Foundation
Monterey's annual 4th of July Parade is returning to Downtown Old Monterey this year after a long pandemic haitus! A must-attend celebration that draws approximately 15,000 people to line the streets in and around Old Monterey, we invite you to join us and revel in the festive floats, patriotic displays, entertaining costumes, and musical bands.
11 AM - 3 PM - LIVING HISTORY DAY, MONTEREY STATE HISTORIC PARK
Monterey State Historic Park's Living History Day will be held on July 4, 11am-3pm in the Memory Garden, located behind Pacific House Museum at Custom House Plaza. Step back in time and participate in Early California activities such as rope making, crafting leather bookmarks, playing 19th century games and cooking. Guided History Tours will also be offered. Bring the whole family for old-fashioned fun for all ages! The festivities will begin right after the July 4th Parade. Admission is free, but a $5 donation per family (to support the California State Parks Title 1 School Year Programs) is suggested.
