2020 Vision: why you should see the energy transition coming (GCAS affiliate event)

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Carbon Tracker, in collaboration with The Di Caprio Foundation, presents 2020 Vision: why you should see the energy transition coming. Come to hear about the findings of our latest report on the speed of the energy transition and the dramatic impact this will have on financial markets in the 2020s.

The global energy system is transitioning from a system mainly based on fossil fuels to one mainly based on renewable energy sources.
The most important phase for financial markets in the transition is the point of peak demand for fossil fuels. Collapsing prices of solar, wind and battery technology, as well as digitisation, mean that this peak is fast approaching.
In addition to this, all demand-growth is with emerging markets which will choose renewables over fossil fuels as their path to development.
This is a disruptive energy transition, which the incumbents are in complete denial of, but is an opportunity for investors to seize.
This event is free to attend, and a light lunch will be served.
