This year represents a particularly special OFJCC milestone. We are celebrating ten years on the Taube Koret Campus for Jewish Life! 1920s Speakeasy or Cocktail Attire
*Speakeasy: the term for an illicit nightclub in 1920s Prohibition era America. Between 1920 and 1933 in America, manufacture and sale of alcohol was illegal. As such, speakeasies arose to satisfy the secret demand for alcohol and entertainment. Speakeasies proved to be a quintessential cultural phenomenon that defined the "Roaring Twenties."
