San Francisco International Hip Hop Dance Fest Takes Over the Palace of Fine Arts

Hip Hop Dance spans the globe and is a driving force in dance and body movement. Its rapid diversification, like hip hop music itself, has incorporated the cultures of the youth who’ve embrace it. And by so doing, hip hop dance not only features amazing movement and athleticism, on a more spiritual level, it has kept a strong finger on the pulse of the ever expanding street dance art form. On November 22nd – 24th, the San Francisco International Hip Hop Dance Fest is back at the Palace of Fine Arts with performers from all over the world; from local SF Bay Area dancers, to others from Europe and North America.

“It takes a festival like Micaya’s to show us – and challenge us to reconsider just how diverse, amorphous and all-embracing hip hop can now be.” – Rachel Howard

For one spectacular weekend, Micaya presents the SF International Hip Hop DanceFest, an event of groundbreaking hip hop performances by professional dance companies from around the globe. 2019 marks the festival’s 21st year of presenting inspiring, electrifying and thought provoking works.

Award-winning and critically-acclaimed, SFIHHDF is a Bay Area legend that is not to be missed!
