The Ferry Building Shakes Things Up With New Events

Everyone knows the Ferry Building has a killer farmer’s market and incredible foodie-friendly vendors, but have you ever perceived it as an activity destination? Well, beyond the Farmers Market on Tuesdays, Thursdays and on Saturdays, top notch author events at Book Passage, or food events from the many vendors in the Ferry Building, two additional events series, on the waterfront, running through November, aim to make the answer “yes”.

Wellness Wednesdays: 5pm – 6pm, August 21th – November 20th

The new offerings cater to wellness lovers and vintage shoppers: starting on August 21st, meet Wellness Wednesday – the Ferry Building’s weekly partnership with the health and wellness app MINDBODY. Utilizing the building’s airy second floor, the weekly event offers (through November 20th) fitness classes – including yoga, power yoga, pilates, and dance, with instructors from studios like CorePower Yoga, Lagree Fit, and Orangetheory Fitness. The classes are free, with sign-ups through the app, as well as drop-ins.

Fog City Flea: Sundays, 10am – 5pm, September 1st – November 17th

On September 1st, another seasonal addition will kick in, taking over Sundays and enticing vintage lovers; Fog City Flea is a new market, which will bring together an array of local merchants, selling everything from handcrafted jewelry to clothes, furniture and apothecary items. These offerings are in good company with the Ferry Building’s other events, also recently added; American Cheese Month in October, Demo Days at Recchiuti Confections and more.
