Dumpling fans, you do not want to miss out on this event. Join us for an evening of tasting the finest dumplings (jiaozi) from different parts of China. Imagine strolling along a night market with a lot of gourmet and delicious street food: different varieties and styles of dumplings accompanied with deliciously crafted sauces all while enjoying a spectacular showcase of cultural activities, dumpling-making demonstrations, Chinese shadow puppetry, paper-cutting, live entertainment, and raffle prizes as we support the Chinese Culture Center and Chinatown Visitor Infomation Center. An array of booths featuring different art and cultural activities will also be set up on the Dr. Rolland and Kathryn Lowe Community Bridge, which connects the Hilton Hotel to Portsmouth Square. 600 attendees are expected at the festival.
Proceeds from the festival enable Chinese Culture Center and Chinatown VIC to produce community events and activities to promote the economic development of Chinatown. All contributions to the festival is tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law.
