Winter brings cooler, shorter days, and again transforms the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park into a wonderland of science and holiday fun. ‘Tis the Season for Science features a polar-themed exhibit, outdoor snow flurries, and an outdoor ice rink.
There will also be live musical and cultural performances as well as a screening of the short film Science of Snow, an exploration of the geometry of snowflakes. Admission is free to $45.95 depending on if you’re a member, skating during museum hours or during the evening skate. Visit the Holiday Ice Rink page for more details.
Sunday Skate Nights on November 18th, 25th, December 2nd, & 9th, when the museum closes but the ice rink opens from 5:30pm – 8:30pm.
Holiday festivities will run from November 16th – January 6th.
