Metallica to Perform at SF Civic Center for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals Benefit Concert

Local technology giant Salesforce announced plans for its ninth annual Concert for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals fundraiser, in conjunction with its annual conference, Dreamforce.

The event will feature a live performance by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy-award winning rock band Metallica and superstar Janet Jackson. The annual concert will take place at Civic Center Plaza in San Francisco. On this evening, in addition to the live music, a cocktail reception will take place in City Hall where Dr. Michael Anderson, President of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals, will present patient Myla Cunanan with the UCSF General Colin Powell Medal of Courage Award. An afterparty hosted by MC Hammer and Rob Garza will take place in City Hall immediately following the concert.
