NorCal’s Largest Trance Festival Dreamstate Announces 2018 Lineup

Northern California’s largest trance music festival Dreamstate returns to Bill Graham Civic Auditorium for its third consecutive year for another two-day installment, headlined by Markus Schulz and Paul Van Dyke.

Organized by electronic dance music event promoter Insomniac, Dreamstate travels around the globe to major markets like Sydney, London, and New York City, with different lineups depending on the city. This year’s SF edition features acts like Alpha 9, ATB, and John O’Callaghan, among many others.

After Pasquale Rotella, CEO of Insomniac, recently changed the date for EDC Las Vegas to the week before Memorial Day Weekend when Dreamstate SF was traditionally held, there were some concerns about whether the Bay Area trance event would continue. Fortunately, Dreamstate San Francisco will officially be returning in August and in addition to the new dates, Dreamstate SF will now have two stages. This means there will be room for more acts to perform and a wider variety of talent, including more psytrance artists.

Tickets are on sale now starting at $120 for a two-day pass.

Last year saw performances by Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk, Gareth Emery, Markus Schulz as his alter performance ego Dakota.
