Tim Bergling, best known as Avicii, who was a Swedish musician, DJ, remixer and record producer, passes away at 28 years old. The Grammy-nominated artist had headlined shows throughout the world and collaborated with many artists along the way, including Madonna. His song “Wake Me Up” remains the eighth-most downloaded song in the United Kingdom.

As Avicii’s publicist has confirmed with CNN, “Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii, was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th.” There were some clues to persisting health issues as he had stopped performing back in 2016 after a string of health issues, including acute pancreatitis. More details on his death is not yet available.
