San Francisco Opera is Looking for On-Stage Extras

The San Francisco Opera is looking for extras! Specifically, adult males and children (girls and boys) are needed for the Opera’s upcoming productions of the Ring Cycle, Cavalleria Rusticana/Pagliacci, Roberto Devereux, Tosca and Arabella.  No experience is required and there is no charge to audition.

Sorry, ladies. Nothing at the moment. However, the San Francisco Opera frequently looks for “supernumeraries” or “supers,” a term for people of all ages who share the stage with operatic artists. These are unpaid volunteers who act on the stage as extras in non-speaking roles.

If being on stage, amidst world-class opera singers sounds like fun, then this might be your jam.

The open casting call will take place Monday, April 2, 4pm for children and 5pm for adult men.
