Noise Pop Festival 2018 Lineup: tUnE-yArDs, Real Estate, BRMC, Geographer & More

The Bay Area’s premiere indie music and arts festival, Noise Pop, revealed the first phase of the 2018 lineup, headlined by indie-pop group tUnE-yArDs, New Jersey surf rock band Real Estate, as well as San Francisco’s own Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Geographer.

Other noteworthy artists announced include garage rock band Parquet Courts, indie-pop inspired San Fermin performing alongside Bay Area experimental act The Magik*Magik Orchestra, and accomplished DJ Ben UFO. The remainder of the festival music lineup will be announced in several phases between now and February.

November 29th update: The second phase lineup has been announced, which includes indie rockers Built to Spill, solo act Waxahatchee, psychedelic-Cambodian pop act Dengue Fever, singer-songwriter Shamir, Inara George (of The Bird and the Bee), Atlanta-based and female-fronted punk rock trio The Coathangers, and Australian act Alex Cameron. Individual tickets for these new performances will also go on sale on Friday, December 1, at 10am.

January 5 Update: Phase three of the lineup has been revealed and some of the noteworthy additions are rappers Ty Dolla $ign and Jay Electronica, DJ sets by Madlib and Noise Pop veteran Toro Y Moi, plus Doug Martsch (of indie rock band Built To Spill) performing Keep It Like A Secret, experimental duo Shabazz Palaces, folk singer-songwriter Langhorne Slim, and Argentine indie pop artist Tei Shi. Festival organizers plan to announce one more phase of artists that will be mostly comprised of local Bay Area support acts in the coming weeks.

A limited amount of Early Bird badges are available for purchase today for $145 and a limited number of Super Fan badges are also on sale for $399. Those who purchase Super Fan badges will receive true red carpet treatment at the festival, with guaranteed entry to all festival events, a special merchandise package, complimentary drink tickets to select events, and a personal Noise Pop concierge available for assistance throughout the weeklong festival.

Beyond the music, world-renown artist ChiChiLand has designed the official artwork for this year’s festival. Çiğdem “Chi” Michalski is an illustrator, artist and occasional art director in Seattle, who for the past decade was half of the creative duo running Istanbul’s beloved motion design studio – imago.
