Dirtybird Campout 2017 Reveals Full Lineup

This October 6-8th, pack your tents and sleeping bags for the third installment of Dirtybird’s raucous Dirtybird Campout. Today, the label released the lineup for its summer camp themed music festival—now even more diverse and star-studded than ever before.

Touting all of their core Dirtybird heavy-hitters, as well as the label’s new and old friends, the Campout brings together campers from all over the world for three days of genre-bending, sub-rattling dance music along with a host of games, activities and outdoor adventures.

With a newly redesigned and expanded second stage, head counselor Claude Von Stroke booked a wide range of artists that are sonically distinct from the traditional Dirtybird sound. French funk master Shiba San, English jokester Eats Everything, and German bootytech maestro Kill Frenzy are all on the lineup.

They’ll also have drum ‘n bass representation from Brazilian icon DJ Marky, dark techno from Miami-native Danny Daze, and a FK A GENRE Takeover from LA’s Mija (alongside drum ‘n bass favorite Netsky & Ryan Forever).

Justin and Christian Martin are sure to have tricks up their sleeves, not to mention the other pair of brothers gracing the stage, Mikey Lion & Porkchop from the Desert Hearts Crew.

The biggest twist for this year’s Campout is that it’s relocating to the Lake San Antonio Recreation Area in Bradley, California, also home to The Do Lab’s Lightning In A Bottle. The Do Lab has been aiding Dirtybird in logistical support from their very first Campout, and no doubt had a hand in helping the crew find a new location for their boutique festival this year. The change of venue came after noise restrictions made the previous location at the Oak Canyon Park in Silverado unsuitable for 2017.

While the new location isn’t exactly close enough to the lake to enjoy easy access, Bay Area and NorCal attendees will be happy to know the new location is approximately three hours away from SF, compared to the long trek down to Orange County in previous years.

Finally, there’s an extra special competition this year. By submitting a mix to the Dirtybird Campout DJ Competition, you could win a chance to open The Birdhouse Stage, meet Claude during the festival and receive two Backstage Party Passes. Plus hear your mix air on an episode of VonStroke’s weekly Birdhouse radio show!
