All San Francisco-area students in kindergarten through 12th grade. This tournament will let aspiring young masters compete for trophies and the respect of their peers. Free to all participants!
PLAY BEGINS PROMPTLY AT 11:00 A.M.
Except for the USCF-rated section, which starts at 10:00 a.m. Play will conclude at 3:00 p.m. Awards ceremony at 3:15 p.m. All participants will play 4 games, regardless if they win or lose.
WHAT TO BRING
We highly recommend you bring a picnic lunch and beverages.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Online registration is encouraged. Online registration will close at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 24th. After that time, limited on-site registration will be available. Each participant will be given a souvenir T-shirt and one bottle of water upon check-in.

Photographs will be taken of the event. By registering your child in the tournament you grant the Mechanics' Institute and its representatives the right to take photographs of you and/or your child in connection with the 2016 San Francisco Scholastic Chess Championship. Photographs may be used for publicity and Web content. We will not use any child's name without specific parent permission.
