The San Francisco Improv Festival runs from August 16-19 at PianoFight and celebrates the best that improvisational theater has to offer in all its forms. Our thirteenth festival features improvisers from the house teams of major improv schools to independent, regional troupes and duos that kick major ass. Support your faves, take some risks, and throw down with us.
Workshops Aug 19th & 20th as well!
Highlights for 2017 include:
Liss n' Sams with #SorryNotSorry
(Thursday, August 17th, 9:00 PM Tickets $20 advance/$23 door)
#SorryNotSorry is a San Francisco based Harold ensemble featuring all women who aren't afraid of talking about politics or vaginas or how creepy old porcelain dolls are. Ya know, the truth. The duo Liss n' Sams takes the word of the day as a suggestion from the audience. From that word, they create a starter scene and before you know it you are smack in the middle of a fast paced show that does not end till the lights come down.
Orange Tuxedo with 850 FICO
(Friday, August 18th, 9:00PM Tickets $20 advance/$23 door)
850 FICO is an improv team based in LA that sneaks in credit tips. Also from Los Angeles, Orange Tuxedo is a two person improv show from a husband and wife team who, collectively, have been doing improv for seven hundred years. Featuring Drunk History's Craig Cackowski, this show is likely to sell out - get your tickets now!
Hamilton & MacLean with Robot Teammate & The Accidental Party
(Saturday, August 19th, 9:00PM Tickets $20 advance/$23 door)
