Thousands of athletes will take over the streets of San Francisco for the fourth annual Transamerica Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon San Francisco. The scenic 13.1-mile course highlights San Francisco’s most famous spots, taking participants along the Great Highway to Lincoln Boulevard with sprawling ocean views. The course continues through the Presidio, across the Golden Gate Bridge and along Crissy Field with skyline views before ending in the heart of the city at Civic Center Plaza. The race allows runners the rare opportunity to run across closed lanes of the landmark Golden Gate Bridge, making it a bucket list race for running enthusiasts. Live local bands and alternative entertainment will perform along the course, which culminates with a Finish Line Festival at Civic Center Plaza where indie pop duo MS MR will headline the Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series with hits from their album Secondhand Rapture.
