City Lights is celebrating 100 years of Dada with the 2016 Dada World Fair and a new publication - Lost Profiles: Memoirs of Cubism, Dada, and Surrealism by Philippe Soupault.
The classic book, appearing for the very first time in English, is a first-person account of a crucial period in modernism––the transition from Dada to Surrealism––through personal portraits by the co-founder of the Surrealist Movement of literary lions like Joyce, Proust, Apollinaire, Reverdy, Cendrars, and more.
Translator (and Bay Area resident) Alan Bernheimer will present the book in two events in the Bay Area in November:
Wednesday, 11/9, 6PM - Mechanics’ Institute Library in San Francisco
Thursday, 11/15, 7PM - Diesel, a Bookstore in Oakland
