Description:
Join us "Down on the Farm" for 15 days of toe-tappin' fun at the 2015 Sonoma County Fair, opening Friday, July 24 and closing Sunday, August 9 (closed on Mondays). Rediscover our agricultural roots in the Hall of Flowers themed "Barnyard Blossoms", get in on the action at the horse races, stomp your boots to live music, visit the livestock area or even enter a free contest to win some prizes. Down on the Farm will feature a giant carnival, a bounty of delicious fair food, livestock shows, a special Kids Area and all kinds of rustic down-home entertainment. The Sonoma County Fair is also a showcase for local arts and crafts in the community.
The Fair's popular Wine Country Horse Racing meet will be held for 11 days this year. Horse racing will take place July 30 through August 2 and August 6-9 during fair. This year there will also be a bonus week of Horse Racing August 14-16 after fair.
Headlining country stars such as Montgomery Gentry and Thompson Square will take the Chris Beck Arena on August 4, with actress and pop star Bridgit Mendler on August 5 and classic rock tribute band Snake Oil Sinners on August 6. In addition to these concerts, there's a host of incredible free shows to enjoy everyday of the fair. Free shows are held daily at the Park Stage where you can enjoy great music and dancing.
The professional cowboys compete in the PRCA Rodeo on July 25. Catch the heart pounding action at the Destruction Derby on August 1, as well as Monster Trucks on August 8 and 9.
