SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Strybing Arboretum (see times)
The 28th Annual Show and Sale of the San Francisco Succulent and Cactus Society (SFSCS) will be held on June 6th and 7th, 2015, in the Gallery, San Francisco County Fair Building, 1199-9th Ave (at Lincoln Way), San Francisco. This year’s theme is “Sea of Color,” featuring a wide variety of colorful drought-tolerant succulent plants. Admission is free and doors will be open both days from 9 am to 5 pm.

The sale will include many vendors from California selling diverse forms of succulents, cacti, bromeliads, hand-crafted pottery, and more. Throughout the weekend event, members of the SFSCS will be available to answer questions about plant care and joining the society. A free raffle will be held each half hour for visitors to win a plant.

The show provides a non-competitive display for educational and demonstration purposes, to encourage people to participate in the hobby. This year’s show will include a display of special or unique plant specimens and a wide variety of succulents in cultivation. Visitors can vote for their favorite plant.

The San Francisco Succulent and Cactus Society (SFSCS) is a non-profit educational organization promoting the study and cultivation of succulent and xerophytic plants. The SFSCS meets regularly on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in Golden Gate Park at The County Fair Building (Hall of Flowers) at 9th and Lincoln in San Francisco. The general meetings feature educational lectures and displays and sales of plants. SFSCS publishes a monthly newsletter, a benefit of membership.
