Victory Hall & Parlor Brings More Soul Food to SoMa

Taking over the space formerly occupied by the ill-fated nightclub 330 Ritch in SoMa, Victory Hall features an expansive industrial chic bar serving up fresh twists on classic cocktails and favorites from the Little Skillet menu, operating under the same management just down the street.

But unlike Little Skillet, which is still limited to brunch and lunchtime hours with no seating, Victory Hall is open until midnight every night. Ample seating and a walk-up counter for ordering food create the laid-back atmosphere, perfect for after work drinks, brunch or starting point before a night out in SoMa.

The menu’s array of sandwiches, skillets and other Southern-inspired comfort foods that put Little Skillet on the gastronomic map are complemented with a full bar managed by Mia Weening, formerly of Mini Bar and Mission Bowling Club.

The Bloody Dragon, an Asian-inspired Bloody Mary we tried recently at brunch, offered an interesting update on the brunch classic with ginger. Another cocktail menu highlight was the Blind Swordsman, a gin and champagne-based concoction with hints of beet, cucumber lemonade and basil. Several beers are also available on tap.
