Michael Mina Partners With 49ers for New Stadium Restaurant

The 49ers announced today the team’s new stadium in Santa Clara will host Chef Michael Mina’s latest venture—a high-end steak house and pub called Bourbon Steak & Pub.

With a nod to the chef’s Bourbon Steak restaurant in downtown San Francisco, Bourbon Steak & Pub will be a multi-level, high-end steakhouse and pub at the stadium.

At 49ers home games, the restaurant will host a membership-only tailgate party for season ticket holders inspired by the chef’s tailgate bashes at Candlestick Park. Members can enjoy game-themed menu items and cocktails with regional ingredients inspired by visiting teams surrounded by 70 HD TVs. In addition to game days, Bourbon Steak & Pub will be open to the general public seven days a week with lunch and dinner served at the pub and dinner at Bourbon Steak.

“He is a huge 49ers fan, one of the Bay Area’s foremost chefs, and he knows how to tailgate like no other,” said Jed York, 49ers Chief Executive Officer, in a release today.

The restaurant is scheduled to open by August 2014, in time for the next NFL season.
