Speakeasy Celebrates 16th Anniversary with Huge Block Party

Call it a Sweet 16 of sorts as San Francisco’s very own Speakeasy Ales & Lagers is celebrating a birthday on Saturday with an afternoon block party.

The craft brewery, known for its Big Daddy IPA and Prohibition Ale and located just south of the Dogpatch, is celebrating with a party of beer, food, live bands and vendors. The food lineup includes Southpaw BBQ, Kasa Indian Eatery, Rosamunde Sausage Grill, Ritual Coffee, Hot Wes Burger Pop-Up, Hey, Cookie! and Beaver Mobile Café. All food will be for sale onsite. A $35 general admission ticket also gets guests entry into the event, unlimited beer tastings and a commemorative 16th Anniversary beer taster glass.

The $55 Godfather’s Club ticket allows for special entry into Speakeasy’s VIP tap room, with first access to unreleased and barrel-aged brews from its reserve, plus a commemorative poster. Despite being held at a brewery, the event is for all ages, as Speakeasy has special $10 designated driver and under 21 tickets as well. Children 12 and under receive free admission.

The music lineup includes Burn River Burn, Custom Built Empire, Vagabondage and DJ Clover and several local vendors will be on hand as well.

The Speakeasy Block Party takes place on Saturday, September 7 from 1:00-6:00pm.

Speakeasy Ales & Lagers is located at 1195 Evans Avenue.
