Part of what some call the “newgrass” movement, the Lumineers have had a quick ascent with their hit sings “Ho Hey!”, first playing Golden Gate Park last year at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass and Cafe Du Nord before headlining the Greek Theatre in April.

The Lumineers’ simple yet rustic folk style has contributed to their rapid rise with original members Wesley Schultz on guitar (and piano) along with drummer Jeremiah Fraites (who also plays mandolin), joined by cellist Neyla Pekarek in 201o and Multi-instrumentalist Stelth Ulvang and bassist Ben Wahamaki in 2012.

Tickets for the show at the newly built bay-side venue go on sale June 6 at 10am.
