Dew Tour Plans Return to San Francisco

The mounds of dirt and massive skate park will return to San Francisco’s Civic Center again this year with a return visit from the Dew Tour in October.

A celebration of action sports, the Dew Tour will once again be descending on San Francisco on October 10-13.

“The Dew Tour is about celebrating action sports and providing athletes and the industry with a world-class platform for progression and creativity,” said Kenny Mitchell, General Manager of the Dew Tour. “We want all of our fans – whether tuning in through broadcast, online, or on-site at the events – to celebrate with us and be inspired by the sports, the music and the action sports culture.”

The 2013 Dew Tour schedule also includes stops in Ocean City, Maryland and Breckenridge, Colorado.

Although the complete schedule for the San Francisco stop has yet to be determined, expect a wide variety of events all around the city again. Last year, Civic Center Plaza was turned into a playground for skateboarders, those competing in BMX dirt and street events and a freestyle motocross competition. Events were also held on Harrison Street, as athletes raced toward The Embarcadero.

Expect plenty of music as well as last year’s acts included Lil Wayne and Portugal. the Man.
