The Rolling Stones Announce Two Bay Area Shows

The Rolling Stones are celebrating more than five decades success with a newly announced North American concert tour, with two early stops in Oakland at Oracle Arena and San Jose at HP Pavilion.

Tickets for the Bay Area shows, on May 5 and 8 respectively, go on-sale on Friday April 8 at 10am through the band’s web site, rollingstones.com. The tour begins at the Los Angeles Staples Center, but that date has yet to be announced pending NBA basketball and NHL hockey playoff schedules.

Following their run in North America, the Stones’ “And Counting” part of the tour’s title refers to future overseas performances at U.K.’s Glastonbury Festival and two dates at London’s Hyde Park, with more even more international shows expected to be announced.

  1. 170 to get in the door, over 600 for good seats… utterly disgraceful. I love the Stones, but they should be ashamed of themselves for demanding such ridiculously high prices for tickets, especially in this economy.
