Snoop Dogg Releases Anti-Gun Video

Shedding the gun-totting image of his past, Snoop Dogg just dropped his latest Snoop Lion video “No Guns Allowed.”

Sporting shoulder-length dreads and grill on his bottom teeth for the reggae track, Snoop is joined by Drake and his daughter Cori B. on vocals. The anti-violence message is paired with images from various shootings, including the Sandy Hook and Columbine High School shootings and the 2002 Beltway snipers, as Snoop sings “No guns allowed” with his daughter over a keyboard riff that shows hints of Major Lazer’s “Get Free.”

The track is the first single off of Snoop Lion’s Reincarnated album, set for release on 2012. The message is great, but we’re still wondering where Snoop is going with his new look and reggae vibe. Share your thoughts in the comments section.
