Björk Announces Richmond Tour Dates
No joke, Björk fans: The Icelandic singer is scheduled to perform at Richmond’s Craneway Pavilion in May.
The concerts announced today will be on May 22, May 25 and May 28 before the singer moves on for shows in L.A. and festival appearances at Bonnaroo and Pitchfork Festival.
The 45,000-square-foot venue on the waterfront at Point Richmond is rarely used high-profile concerts, providing a unique “intimat , in-the-round” setting, according @Bjork, to catch the singer. The venue has a 5,000-person standing capacity, but the number of attendees for the concert will likely be less.
Pre-sale tickets hit the market via Ticketmaster tomorrow at 10am. Regular sale tickets go on sale Thursday for $75.
