Rock Bar Celebrates a Year in Bernal Heights
A brand new spring cocktail list, punch, celebrating a special donkey and great tunes – it’s all part of the first birthday party for Rock Bar on Thursday night.
Along with the launch of the new menu, the crew at Rock Bar will also be serving up many of their classic cocktails – The Dark Crystal, ICHI Rock and Real Thunderberg. And it will also mark the return of the bar’s beloved donkey mascot, sort of. The donkey, which has appeared in many cocktail photos, was taken from the bar last month. After an APB was put out, the bar finally has found a replacement, albeit a bit smaller than the original.
Rock Bar’s Aquarius Records-curated jukebox normally belts out the tunes but it will take the night off, to be replaced by an exclusive set from INTERNET FAMOUS, who will be playing records from 7:00pm to closing.

The famous Slow Donkey Walk punch (10 liters of it) will be served up at $6 a glass along with a mix of other handcrafted cocktails from bar manager Brion Rosch.

Rock Bar is located at 80 29th Street (at Tiffany) and the party gets started at 6:00pm and shuts down at 2:00am.
