Prince to Play DNA Lounge in April, Tickets on Sale Now

Prince will perform four shows  at DNA Lounge in April.

UPDATE, April 5: DNA Lounge announced on its blog that more tickets for one or all of the four sold-out Prince shows this month will be released at noon:

“We’ve decided to make a few more Prince tickets available! A small number of tickets for all four shows will go on sale Friday at Noon, so get ready…

There will be no tickets available at the door, sorry.

Also, we are taking some strong anti-scalping measures for these shows, so please don’t let yourself get ripped off.”

They should sell out almost immediately. Prince will perform at early and late shows on April 23 and April 24.

MARCH 21

According to the report posted this morning on NBC’s website, Prince will play April 23-24 with two shows on each night:

Last night during a podcast hosted by DrFunkenberry.com, the ladies behind Prince’s new protégé band 3rd Eye Girl (Donna Grantis, Hanna Ford-Welton, and Ida Nielsen) announced that they will tour with the Purple One.

The show is expected to stop at San Francisco’s DNA Lounge on April 23-24. Two shows will be performed each night. Read More.

The announcement follows Prince’s surprise performance at SXSW, where he closed a weekend packed with star performances playing with his 20-piece band for about 300 people. We will post more details on the DNA shows as they arrive.

UPDATE, MARCH 22:

The Prince show at DNA Lounge is part of a string of small club dates Prince will play in April, with two shows each night. The announcement was made by 3rd Eye Girl, an act on Prince’s NPG Records. Ticket info is expected to be released next week.
