SF Giants to Host Metallica Night

AT&T is often an electric scene during Giants games, but the ballpark for the reigning World Series champions should reach a new level of intensity this season when the team hosts “Metallica Night.”

The prodigious San Francisco heavy metal band has been invited to throw the first pitch and sing the “National Anthem” before a game with the rival Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday, May 3. Attendees who purchase special tickets for the game will receive a Giants/Metallica baseball cap and the stadium’s in-game entertainment will be updated with Metallica music and fan favorites throughout the evening. A portion of the proceeds from this night will be donated to the Bill Graham Foundation.

The game marks the first official Metallica public appearance in San Francisco since the band’s headlining performance at Outside Lands last year. It will be interesting to see how many players change their walk-up music to Metallica for their at-bats that night.
