The 2013 Local History Lecture Series continues with Soaring Starkey in a presentation on the history of the Post Ranch family and its early California pioneers. Soaring Starkey is the Post Ranch Inn historian, and has spent years gathering stories, photographs, and intimate details of what made the Post family succeed in the 1800's and how they laid the foundation for creating one of the most spectacular hotel resorts in the world. She also has a close connection to the Post family, having known Billy, the great-great grandson of W.B. Post who came from Connecticut to make a name for himself on the West Coast.
