2013 Local History Lecture Series: Magnus Toren

The 2013 Local History Lecture Series continues with Magnus Toren in a presentation entitled "Henry Miller & the Memorial Library: Writer, Artist and Cultural Heart of Big Sur." Toren is the Executive Director of the Henry Miller Library and will shed light on the life and work of the library's namesake. Henry Miller is an infamous figure in American literary history and is known for dissolving the taboos surrounding talk of sex in literature. His most famous works include Tropic of Cancer, Black Spring, and Tropic of Capricorn. Free and open to the public.
