La Cocina’s Fourth Annual Gift Bazaar
Black Friday came and went and let’s be honest: any shopping done that day was not for friends and family. The chance for redemption comes this Friday, December 7, with La Cocina’s fourth annual Gift Bazaar at the Crocker Galleria, a time to stock up on locally-made, unique gifts for everyone deserving presents this holiday season.
La Cocina is a non-profit that serves as an incubator kitchen for budding chefs and restaurateurs. The gift bazaar will feature more than 30 vendors affiliated with the La Cocina program, including Onigilly, Wise Sons Deli, Love & Hummus, and Azalina. Some of the great items to look for will include cheeses, chocolates, spices, oils, tamales, seasonal cupcakes and food-related artwork. Visitors will have a chance to try samples and enter a raffle for awesome La Cocina prizes.
La Cocina’s signature holiday gift boxes—assortments of products from La Cocina’s program members—will be on sale at the gift bazaar as well. Prepackaged combinations such as the “Super Snazzy Box” and the “Down Right Fabulous Box” are easy choices for food friends during the holidays. The boxes are available online as well.
The gift bazaar will be a great opportunity to check out what’s happening on the local foodie scene from some of the lesser-knowns who may soon be next-best-thing. Support local business and pick up presents for loved ones…
